Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

I think the first bread recipe was from ACW. My hubby tried the beer one last night. Except he left out the self-rising flour and sugar! Said it was delicious!

Even if cheeka did post some new pics, she needs to post more! *hint*hint*

Heard everyone talk about TSC, but never have seen one except in a small town on the way to Yosemite, miles away. Today, went to lunch with my sis and lo and behold, we passed a TSC on the way! I was so excited, I wanted to skip the lunch and explore, but since it was her office Xmas party, I had to wait. It's only about 30 mins away. Been to Lowe's and Home Depot for building stuff, but TSC sounds like they have more chickenish type items. Maybe a good place to fulfill all those wish lists we've been seeing!

Hope you don't have to be able to back a trailer to shop there! I can't do it either. Not to save my life. Might have to put that on my bucket list.

Sounds like the beer one wins for the hubby!
Hehehe .... I COULD fill a trailer there but na

Its VERY cool, and are way cheaper than "farm n fleet" or "Orschlien" which are 2 of the big box stores here also. Its my 2nd choice but closest for everything but feeds.
We have a few "Rural King" also, and that's my first choice. But its 10 miles further, so if i go its a planned thing. My dad looks for an excuse to go, onery thing! He loves that one too, they have the old time candies like saltwater taffy by the checkout. I hate when he and hubby both go, we are there all day... So i disappear to the animal isles.
I plan to get serious and practice more, we have a bass boat, and i want to be able to launch by myself. Then i will still get to hit the stripers if hubbys not with me. The bag limit is 12, and i get that really fast.... I can filet a fish in about a minute flat.

Do would I! I don't even have a phone! Much less an iPhone
My phone is a real dinosaur and I only know how to make calls with it. Someday I will join the 21st century!

Lol, yeah something like that...someone reminded me about the end of the myan Calender, and i said oh yeah! The world is supposed to end again, how could I forget? W4w...I guess it could mean either! This time it is son in law. He is married with 3 great kids. The shell of the house is up, he has to finish the interior this spring...they are on our property...on one of the hills with a great view. 360° prob a good fifty miles. Don't think you're nosy, if i don't want to say, I'll just ignore ya, but you better ask again in case I only didnt see the first post. hee hee.
My kids have been going on about the 21st and armageddon. I ask them Oh, is the world supposed to end again? and then explain that this is the fifth or sixth time the world was supposedly doomed. I think they were really worried. Especially when I said I probably shouldn't buy any Christmas presents if they really believed the nonsense!

The terrible thing that happened in Connecticut today made me just want to hug them though, and reassure that Santa will indeed come. Wonderful that you're going to have family and grandkids around! Hug 'em lots!

Sounds like you have a lot more stores catering to farm life. This used to be a rural area, then the vineyards took over, and now we are "wine country" which seems more industrial than ag to me. Don't appreciate all the sloshed tasters careening down the road between wineries either. Used to be regular folks living out here, now it's the high rent district.

Let me know how the trailer backing lessons go. I get the theory of it, but am somehow lacking in the execution. When you figure it out, please share!

Roger likes TSC. She found more spilled feed on the floor there. I told her it wasn't stealing if it is spilled on the floor. She has learned from her Wal Mart experience that she can't go hog wild. I did catch her pecking at the corner of a bag of scratch. Thanks cheeka....

for the expensive gift ideas. Roger has a TSC store on her wish list now. Doesn't hurt to ask I guess. Going hunting this morning. This is the weekend we harvest and not trophy hunt. Time to fill the freezer.

Good luck on the hunt OK, get you a young doe, yummm or even a button buck is sure nice. Just checking in before i get my Mom set for the day.

I had to stop making bread. We were eating a loaf a day most days. I think it is funny that just a few years ago I couldn't stand the smell of fresh bread, and the taste was worse. Now I bake the bread, and eat it too. I save a bundle making my own pizza dough too.
DH is a truck driver. I sadly have few nice things to say about him, but he can back up triples!! It is not something that is done often, but he as had to do it a time or two. The man is awesome.
W4W, when you go to TSC, go the the right, and towards the back. We have some dinky stores in PA, but the chicken stuff is always there. Then you have to go along the right wall, back towards the front, to find the big bags of DE, vaccinations not kept in the fridge, and a bunch of other stuff that I just found out my TSC had.

Glad the bread was enjoyable...so easy! The same recepie can become rolls...if you roll it out as for bread sticks, chop them into roll size pizza and form them into rolls. The trick is, the second time you handle them be gentle and don't over do, so they stay tender. Give them time to rise, then hot oven and just till brown. Want cinamon rolls? Roll out the chunks flattish, brush with butter, sprinkle with sugar and cinamon and roll up like a log....rest, rise, bake. Dust with some powdered sugar right out of the oven. Same recipes for pizza dough, except te second rise you handle it roughly so the gluten will be firm and hold lots of stuff, use corn meal when you roll it out for a cripsy tasty crust. I have sticker shock when I see baked goods in the store. I guess you pay for the time and energy to bake...package, transport....enough for recipes.

Want to get good at backing a trailer? First get good at backing a truck or car - practice driving backward usng only the rear view mirrors, and also turn around and drive backward. Once your good at, really good at....try the trailer without anything on it. Play around and see, how quickly that trailer will turn for you, how much does it take to jack knife, and most important...when you start to back, you need to be in a straight line, if not, it takes too much room to correct, and make the trailer go straight again. If you're going crooked. Stop. Go forward. Straighten, try again. Practice practice practice. The people that are good at it have tons of practice...even then, I've seen some interesting maneuvers. Once you get the hang of it...you'll be like...hey! That was easy peazy.! Soon, you'll be driving to town backward just for the fun of it!

Love those farm stores....love the internet chicken stuff...ut oh...I'm enabling here. Usually all the shipping and handling fees stop me from completing the online purchase though....still...I can dream. Don't tell roger! Just one click of the mouse roger...and they'll deliver! I'll bet roger is looking forward to some vension scraps. Give her some coupons and tell her they are stock in the company...and give her a little safe to put them in.

Flat head screw driver, wedge it under the middle of the staple, tap the end of the screwdriver with a hammer till it lifts up slightly. Grab the staple with a pair of pliers and pull.
