A woman in my local thread has a trio of BCM at POL for me. I will swap her or buy them if she isn't interested in what I have. She also has Favorelles (sp?) and EE trios. I will get the birds next Tuesday.

hey W4W, try curcurbits for worming, foods with seeds like gourds, pumpkin, melon, squash and cucumber, are safe and natural wormers, then you don't have to avoid eating the eggs...

to the meatsicle eating barbarians! I amaze myself with how graceless I can be when no one is looking...

ACW ~ so awesome to hear from you! I hope you get your chickens settled back into their routine by being back at home... even if you can't spend lots of time outdoors, they'll know your back, it'll make a difference!

SBM, nice pic... all my 9 week old chicks roost for sleeping now, no more peep pile...

AL, hope you feel better soon, I like canned peaches with the syrup for a yucky tummy, keep me from hurling most of the time, but if you do, it doesn't taste horrible, and you can still eat peaches without thinking about having hurled it...

5 eggs for me today, no report this morning for what i found last night, because I found NOTHING last night. no eggs! Peach is still sitting, she gets up to stretch her legs and ruffle her feathers at least once a day, she leaves an enormous poop as proof. thankfully, they clean up really easily.

I'm home with the stomach bug

I didn't get enough sleep last night. When I read your post I took it that you were homesick (as in missing being at home). Duhhh. It sucks getting old!

You and Mustacheio are in the same boat. He called me from the school office this morning to come home because his stomach is bothering him. Not sure what is causing it, but there is apparently some bug going around here too. We went and bought some yogurt with the live cultures to see if that will help him. So far, not helping. He'll probably miss tomorrow too, but he is happy about that! If nausea is the problem, my favorite thing to eat is a chocolate milkshake. That way it's not too bad if I can't keep it down.

my mom says that school needs to get out for the week. Our student services person says that "kids are droppin like hot cakes"
