Cheeka, the wee bunch look pretty big to me! The EEs seem to grow fast. You have such variety of beauties there. Good looking chickens and soon you will be swimming in blue/green eggs and the browns will seem rather rare and exotic!
Animallover, hope you can get some sleep tonight. Cheeka's advice about sleepy-time foods is good, and I will add try taking a hot shower or bath to help you relax and avoid the computer and the television. Looking at the screens will actually stimulate parts of your brain. Reading or drawing would be a better way to get ready for sleep. (Finish up on BYC at least an hour before you want to sleep.) Sometimes if I have a big event or trip coming up, I don't sleep well and my mind keeps spinning, so I keep a list near the bed that I can add to so I don't stay up worrying that I will forget something. Telling someone your troubles is always helpful.
OK, I'm with you on trying to resist more chickens. It's hard and most BYC folks are
enablers, so it's like trying to get help losing weight at a barbeque joint. Alright, I know we did just get two more chicks, but those don't really count as
chickens. They're more like pigeons really! Don't even need to build a new coop because they can easily live in a rabbit hutch.
jchny,
and hope you get some warmer weather too. We finally had a good dose of rain today and it was mostly in the low 60s, so nothing to complain about here.
Well, you posted while I was writing, so I rescind the
hint about pictures. They are soooo cute! Is Paddy going to be spoiled, or what?
What breed of goose is s/he? and how old until you will know the sex?
