Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Mary is supposed to be an Ancona, I don't know what the deal is with her not laying. She is 28 weeks. The avatar is a splash Andalusian, and my son calls her Sophia and my brother in law calls her tommy. Now we call her tommy Sophia lol. She's a piece of work ...she is the smallest girl yet has big attitude. The only one I've chased through the snow and she hides her eggs I'm pretty sure. She won't lay if I am watching she comes out of the box and clucks her little head off. She doesn't even sound like the other girls....it's like constant chatter . She paces and is super hyper. More flighty and high strung in general. I took that picture the only time I've ver been able to calmly catch her and hold her. She's quick.
healthcare. In the next three months I will save so much. MORE chickens!!! Lol
It's those Mediterranean breeds with the white earlobes! (Andalusian, Ancona, Minorca, Leghorn, Sicilian Buttercup...) They are lighter bodied and flighty compared to the European and American dual purpose birds. My dingbat Leghorn is the smallest and lightest, and she is food crazed. Constantly running back and forth to see what the others are eating and then pushes them aside to hog it all herself. But she's the boss! These types all lay white eggs as far as I know, so maybe Mary really is laying and Tommy Sophia is getting the credit!

it's another 11 egg day here on the hill! I sold 3 dozen between yesterday and today, will bring a dozen for my PM tomorrow, and Thursday, my elderly friend, Ruth, will come over for the afternoon and take home an 18 pack of tiny eggs to feed to her African Grey Parrot, who loves a scrambled egg for supper. for the most part, I only have pee wee pullet eggs left... and a few pee wee BR eggs...
Peach is definitely broody again. she's growling at everyone, including Pebble and she never left the nest at all today that I witnessed. I even made a big pot of boiled fish, but she turned her beak away! everyone else devoured their shares immediately... so, I will get eggs from my friends who have 6 of the original gang from last year. they have 5 hens and 1 rooster, all of their eggs are fertile... at least if you judge from the backs of the hens... bald bald bald! she has one EE that lays a green egg, one black sex link that lays a speckled cream egg, one BR, and two RIR... the chicks will all be hers, but I really am hoping she'll give me at least one of each of the green and speckled... Blu was behaving in a broody manner earlier today, she invaded Peaches nest, Peach got super puffy and annoyed... kicked her out! so Blu went and sat on Olive's egg for about an hour. I'm kinda hoping for a couple of broodies...

I can send ROGER up there to use as a broody if you want. I expect she will become high maintence for me if she can hatch those eggs she has been sitting on for a week.

Born in Massachusetts, raised in North Jersey. Speech classes (due to the Boston accent )I from two New Yorkers. Lots more accents thrown in.
Perfect day for the Biker Chicks yesterday.
I have two new (small) coops. Candling eggs soon. Due to hatch in one week.

several roosters so we will be filling the freezer.

I candled, and had to toss two with blood rings. Only could see veining in one of the remaining twelve. It was too dark in there!
I am having trouble reading all the posts on my phone this past week. I really hope I have my computer back before hatching starts!!!
