Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

You k,now, I am not really sure what breed this cockerel is...I thought SS for a while, but he has slate legs. My other fella is "Araucana" and is very handsome also, but kind of a tool. Those pics are a week or 2 old. I have one white girl who changed overnight to a giant ball of fluff, but no red...she has a horn-colored bill and sort-of-green legs. I need a new pic of her. One of my NN is red-faced and wattles are developing, and my BO is pining up as well.

Fran the Tool

How old is Fran? He may be a pain, but has a pea comb, so more likely blue egg genes. He looks fairly young and some of them really have a hard time during those awkward teen months. Pretty sure your mystery roo is an EE (Fran too!) because of the green legs. True Ameraucana and Araucanas are not allowed green shanks, but it's sometimes hard to tell. Look at the bottom of the foot and if it is yellow, they're EEs for sure. Fran has the beard that comes from the Ameraucana and the other roo is missing his beard, but you'll notice the absence of wattles, which goes with the bearded breeds.

I had one sexed EE pullet that was NOT.

RuPaul was starting to be a jerk towards me (not my boys or hubby) but he had to go live elsewhere because of his fondness for incessant crowing... at 4:30 am.

Does your white pullet with green legs have a beard? You might be waiting for green eggs!!!

Most of the crew as they escaped the coop for the day...the one pullet on the far left is the one I mentioned before.
Also, my oldest kiddo graduated from high school on Friday...soooo....gonna share a pic!

my Mini and all her siblings.

RR, nice pics! Huge Congratulations to your Daughter for her achievement!

it's still stinkin' raining! but at least I had a very short work day today, tomorrow is supposed to be sunny... I hope I have a short day then too... I had bees today, first time this season for me to have bees... no chicks... but the home that had ordered the bees was gorgeous, and he has a few hives already set up, he's teaching his daughter about the hobby... so these are her new bees. very cool. I would love to have bees.

bbl, gotta go get drenched and check on everyone

12 eggs... the gang is bored, stuck inside for days on end... I got some cabbage, will hang it in the run, see if it gets them moving. chicks are doing great, and I found a home for Pebble, he's leaving on Tuesday.

Congratulations to you and your daughter! Nice looking family and looks there are a few more grad ceremonies in your future!

I couldn't tell from the pic about the white chicken. No beard, but she may have a pea comb.

New broody coop I am building.

I will have the roof on tomorrow. I used the scrap metal from the roof to line the bottom to keep out predators. They will be living in the woods as you can tell from the pictures so extra care to keep out the bad guys.

excellent plan OK, looks really good! I haven't been able to get much done outdoors with the non-stop rain. getting on my nerves now, so much to be done... work tomorrow for me, enjoy the holiday everyone! Happy Memorial Day

during free range, with Olive and Pebble out of the house... Peach brought the babies out for foraging and dust bath lessons. so, I moved them (Olive and Pebble) into the dome, this way Peach and her babies can have the portable run to themselves. a few of the big girls pinched Pebble, he was screeching... I felt sorry for him, but he has to tough it out... he roosted quickly, smart boy... he is going to his new home tonight. he will be living on my postal route, so I will be able to see him lots and get update photos as he grows up and feathers out.
