DANG CLindz! that is a blizzard! very glad you are safe and sound!
the storm is starting late here - after midnight... but we are supposed to get about 3 inches of ice and snow... tomorrow will not be fun, I have to work a double. Lindz, I hope it's not going to stay that cold to maintain all that ice!
Let it Melt!
today was fantabulous! my family came, and I mean the whole family, which was a big surprise! the only one missing was my younger brother who is out in Colorado. I knew my folks had added the grandkids for the days plan, but found out yesterday that my older brother and his wife wanted to come too if I had room in the car. I did. I threw the 3rd row seats in the Tahoe that I normally store in the garage so I have room for feed bags and bales of straw...
I slow cooked the chickens starting last night. it was phenomenal. I made an awesome wild rice blend with peas, and chocolate cookies at 6 am, got the dogs upstairs and covered the furniture for my nephews allergies... he was here about 3 minutes before he came up, hugged me and said "I love it here". it was his first visit, I was thrilled...! he did some sledding on the neighbors mildly sloped lawn, but had a total blast, and built a "snow face" because the snow was too powdery to pack into a man. he had zero allergy symptoms while inside too, which was an immense relief. he's so allergic to dogs, he's been in respiratory failure many times...
I got great pics and of all the nights for my card reader to act up! I cannot download any. so frustrating! but my dad took a bunch of pics and sent them to me on FB. hopefully tomorrow it will clear up and start working again. even a reboot didn't work... but this has happened a few times in the past year, I'm hopeful it will start working again.
3 Eggs today, 2 from the Dome, and 1 from the Fosters.
