Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

THREE eggs! We got THREE eggs today... I doubt that Smoke will lay. Rumples spent most of her day on the nest, but right now she has come out to join the others in a dust bath.

I am just in love with the new egg. My husband said "that's brown" and I had to correct him and say... "It's not brown, it's chocolate"! LOL

He thinks I'm totally nuts!

Hey now that I have eggs I can actually enter the hatch along contest for "natural eggs". We should all enter w the goal of one of us winning!!!! Who's in? Everyone has such pretty eggs!!!!

I candled tonight!!!!!! Out of 33, there are 3 definite clears, about 4 iffy, and several I couldn't see through. At least 20 are developing!

ouch for sure! that egg was off the charts heavy... and those yolks were really big!

spent time with my elderly friend today, work has been so hectic that I've been neglecting her a bit too long - we did all her paperwork and bills today, and tomorrow afternoon I'll pick her up, we'll grab a bite to eat at the diner and go visit Bird. that will perk her up a lot.

mud mud mud. almost walked out of my boots. 14 Eggs today, and Ruby took Chester's bone. only fair, he killed her toys...

I have the dog crate set up in the pen. I have it under the roof and pointed in a direction so that I can see into it from the bedroom window. I might put Rumples in it with her eggs tomorrow night. She did the wing flap thing in front of me and I could see a bare patch on her chest. She did lay an egg today so... I am not sure what that means.
