One week!So my silkie is squatting but she's pretty young for a silkie (22 1/2 weeks). Does this mean I'll have eggs from her soon or is she gonna squat for the next 4 months and fake me out????

I have been very lucky with the few cats that I had with litter boxes. My Lily lived to 18 yrs. One afternoon I found her collapsed with fatigue, half out of the litter box. I returned her to Her Chair and she passed later that night. Used up her last bit of strength having a snack and using the box. Good cat, that one, except when she was PsycoKitty towards others.Congrats lindz! I love being off by a month if it's a month early rather than a month late!!!
I had to take my elder friend to the doctor this afternoon and then for some shopping, so I didn't get to free range the flock today... kinda bummed bc it's going to rain for the next few days and they won't get out much. but they were happy with noodle Pie and I collected 14 eggs.
one of my cats has decided to use the area behind the TV as a litter box. it took me a while to figure it out, but I sure could smell it! part of the carpet is saturated and there was a bunch of poop. it's inside the back of the cabinet.
I don't know how I'm going to clean that big pee spot. I think I may end up pulling the carpet. that's $700 worth of flooring I didn't expect to spend tho'...![]()
Regarding the smell, there are those enzyme cleaners that work really well on the urine smell. Was called Nature's Miracle, but the name was bought by a different company and not sure what the good stuff is called now. You can probably find out online. It's good stuff.
Quote: True purebred Araucanas in the US do not have tails (they look like the black chicken in Scrambles' avatar). Your chick is really cute. On BYC folks call them EEs (Easter Eggers) even though the hatcheries call them Americana, Ameraucana, or Araucana. They are mostly Ameraucana, but don't meet the breed standard and most of them lay green or blue eggs, which I love. Cheeka has a bunch of really pretty EEs and I have a couple too. They are great birds!
The Egyptian Fayoumi is so distinctive looking! I like them. Are they calm?
Your little babies are going to outweigh most of my mature Seramas in a couple of days!![]()
