Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

First, OK reminded me that I didn't tell you guys that I had a rude awakening this morning. Two poults decided that it was time to explore. They flew out of the brooder, and got themselves trapped. I just knew I heard a "bad" noise, and went to investigate. They had knocked into the screen I had partially covering their brooder. I searched the house for them, and heard one crying back in the office. One was behind the brooder, and the other I finally found between the desk and the rolling cart (one of those clear plastic 3-drawer rolling things). Now they have a better lid on! They aren't "supposed" to be outside until 6-8 weeks, but it will be 75* (wow!) on Sunday and Monday. Strong winds or not, they are going in a mini-coop during the days. The nights will be 45 and 50*. Still too soon to leave them overnight.
Now, I want you all to look up Hedemora chickens. There is no breed standard, but I can tell you they are TINY!!!! My bantams (OEGB and a Cochin) were not even this small!

They are super cold hardy, but most of you can't have them without AC in the coop. Roosters are 5 pounds, hens are 4. I was called last night, and asked to deliver them to someone across the state next week. Then the woman dropping them off tried to convince me to hatch out a dozen EE eggs.

I resisted for now. Next week I will be asked if I want ducks (I think Runners) and goodness knows what else when I deliver these, and then go to the next place to pick up some crates!

Crazy turkeys! The wild ones can destroy a garden or fruit trees in a single morning. Can't imagine the havoc they'd wreak inside the house!

Those chicks are cute! They all look the same, though, and I wonder if they will all develop into the different varieties, like it said on the site. Pretty birds! Do you think the person expecting them would notice if one or two didn't make the trip?
