Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

@cheeka ... I wish that my house looked half as nice as that garage!! My place is very cluttered.....

I only got two so far and I dropped the egg basket! Thankfully only one egg was in it so I guess it was a good thing my numbers were down.

But the favorite nest was in use so I'm sure there are 5 or 6 in there!!!

Fresh lobster for dinner tonight!!! I love having friends who have cool jobs cause we pay about $5 per lobster. I'm making homemade Mac and cheese to go with it!!!! Mouth watering!!!!

I love lobster!! Next week we are going to the San Juan Islands and we are crabbing and bottom fishing. I am taking the GoPro for its first spin.
No eggs still!! It has been in the 90's for over a week.

just in from another double route day... they're crippling me again... everyday for the last couple of weeks... quick take care of all the critters, bathe and me and my honey are dashing off to a street festival. the fireworks are fantastic every year...

so the breakdown stands thus; Peach has 4 chicks, Gossamer has 2. Gossamer has the 2 chipmunks, so she has one of Peach's chicks. but the 2 bantam browns aren't fully imprinted yet, and the 2 Mama's are both working hard to lure them over... and I have 19 eggs in the basket, Stella is sitting on one, so I hope to find at least 2 late tonight... Big Broody is happy, took a big poop and ate a lot... she loves me, lets me crawl in the Dogloo with her, stroke her feathers... she doesn't even puff or squawk at all. I kinda miss that... lol. only bc it makes me laugh... I'm much happier that she and I have a bond. she ate some more from my hand, just bc that's so convenient, her crop was pretty full...
top, these 2 are solidly hers. bottom: the first dust bath! I was laughing, watching it squirm around... so darn cute!

this one is the first to hatch, strawberry blond, no markings (yet) however... and I was unsuccessful getting a clear pic... it is getting tiny wing tip feathers and they are patterned with black or blue...should be able to get a good photo tomorrow morning. my money is still on male.

End of day report. I harassed them all to see if they would squat. Newp.

I picked a few up to see how their bones were coming along. Penny is the WORST. Hers are only 1 finger apart. No one's were real wide.

Maggie and Wilson continue to be the most red.

It's hot and humind. I released them to peck around for the last couple hours of daylight.

Better be an egg in there tomorrow.

The oldest ones hit 17 weeks yesterday too, the black australorp is getting redder and bigger wattles and comb, and the silly Polish roo managed his first 'real' crow. It was very cute, DH wasn't impressed.
