Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

so cute gilcamp! broody's are so funny... some are overprotective, some love to show them off... it's worth getting pecked to have a peek!!

I'm still at 4 out.

1 buff, 2 chipmunks and 1 very pretty brown. Mylee will be here in TWO hours!!!!!!!!

omg, down to 90 minutes while I hustled about waiting for the photos to upload and then forget I had done...

Perfect chick timing! Mylee will get to see the egg tooth too. Hope you don't have to work too hard, but I sure feel bad for the man you are filling in for. Terrible thing about his son. I will be checking in for Mylee updates. Enjoy!! Can you go visit the Interloper so she can see him?

they got here safe and sound! Mylee is stunning, tall, bright, bubbly... and so smart, it's a little scary!

she met the chicks - she's got the touch... so gently holding them, so sweetly whispering her love... she was very excited about the dogs, so of course, Chester was very rambunctious... but once she settled down, so did he. when she was ready to lie down and watch a movie, Chester joined her. he was a bit afraid of her at first, he was up there, but at the foot of the bed... wanting to crawl up and curl up... I showed her how he likes to snuggle and bam! Besties! Chester was in heaven! he slept tightly with her all night long. she is still zonked out. it's supposed to rain later today, but I have a bunch of treats for her to give to the Cluck Cluck's over the course of the day while I'm working...

I shouldn't be too late... and I'll post some pics.

the young man did pass away. his Dad has said he'll return to work on Monday, which surprised all of us, but sometimes, getting back to a routine can be very helpful... however, should he change his mind... I'll work.

Cheeka, prayers for the dad and family.
Glad mylee is there finally. She is cute.
Congrats on the chicks.

I have been dealing with crap from my PO. I thought about closing my PO box, but it is handy most of the time. Just not when they refuse to send packages to the house (thanks, FedEx for giving my packages to idiots!). Well, I got to the post office today, and found my new baby monitor filling the whole box (and it destroyed the pins in my HOG package). I also discovered that I only paid for 6 mos, not a year box. So I went to close the box, and had to mouth (thank God she could read my lips! Especially when one of the people behind me was a friend of Dave's!) that Dave had left me. She was willing to close the account with only one key. And to get back at Dave for leaving, she was going to send all of his mail "return to sender". I was tempted, but said I would have his mail sent here. I pay the bills, so it is a good idea anyway.
Oh! The video monitor was on clearance for $48. I now know why! It has a lullaby feature... And only plays Christmas music. Very loud and upbeat Christmas music! Lol! When I get chickens again, we'll see how they react to it! Lol!

I am sooo happy that I called this lawn and landscaping guy! Turns out the black walnut tree is actually a black cherry. There is a black walnut sapling, but he will knock it down. I asked his opinion, and he said most people don't like them because of the mess they make.

I had a tree that I had no clue what it was. It is a pear tree. It needs a wife. I suppose I will let him take care of that. I have to wonder what happened that there is only one. He also answered questions about other trees and my rhubarb. It was so great having someone tell me those things!!
