The first egg is so exciting. Makes you feel like it was worth all the work you've done to get to this point.

What kind of chicken laid it? What others do you have?

That's great! I was looking at your pics and looks like at one time you had quite a few EEs (lots of males- pretty one in your avatar). Is your keeper female the brown one with a black head? I like EEs.

Woo hoo! Steven, Sheryl and Melissa went into the old coop. I'll move them myself tonight. I'm kinda excited. I've never touched them before.

Yes on the ee hen bought 6 ee only one was hen and 6 silkies and 3 of them hens . Going hatch some in spring hopefuly get some more hens, the 12 above came from tsc.

I got a gift today and I didn't do it justice by taking a proper pic with my camera, I was so excited, I used my phone... It's still amazing.

Okay, the box flap fell into the box, Steven ran into the night. The two girls are in the new pen. To think, if I hadn't tried to get him into the turkey pen earlier, I could have saved myself a lot of time and trouble earlier, and getting just him into the new pen tonight would have been a snap. Now I get to play chase with him tomorrow. I have no doubt he'll be okay overnight.
