I hope the pyrenees genes prove stronger! Not sure how my parents got all the dogs to behave. They were farm dogs. I guess the attitude from my parents was you're lucky to have a home, so you better behave. The only things that weren't safe with the dogs were baby chicks or ducklings. The lab in particular thought chicks were hor d'oeuvres. As soon as they feathered out, no problems.
Just noticed the horrible spelling errors! I always have that issue here for some reason

As for the dog, I hope that side wins too!! His mom had goats so we'll see! In fact, by just under 8 weeks (got him over weekend, he turned it Monday), mom was DONE with them and back, watching her goats! LOL
And that's a good attitude! Lol I tend to overuse treats. I haven't truly worked with him in a long long time though. We used to practice new behaviors or perfect old ones regularly for fun and preventing boredom but I got lazy. Theoretically the idea was to treat until he learns then wean off but I skipped the wean off stage. Gotta work on it. My brother just uses a gruff voice and fear which I don't necessarily agree with but he listens! He also lovesss him so not so much fear anymore but "you better listen or youll be sorry!" Type thing. He never hits him or anything like that but he knows that voice means he better cut it out and FAST. of course, gruffness doesn't always work and certainly doesn't work for the training I was doing, the teaching and shaping new behaviors, and he can't get him to not beg, just is all gator get away from me, GET AWAY, instead of placing him out of room and insisting on it. Kind of funny to see. But he is under control in that sense, doesn't dare do anything bad like lunging at dogs
