Can you stack them until you candle on day 7? Then you can remove duds, and all will fit... unless you were sent some super eggs.

I have them! He gave me 17 eggs. What!? My automatic bator holds 12. I do have a manual turn one but, I might not be around to turn them everyday. Any suggestions?
I’m for sure setting the Marans, Cream Legbar and Barnelever.
Setting tonight for a Christmas Day (night) hatch.

I've always read you should get the incubator going first and add eggs after the temp proves stable

Well heck. The lid on the incubator won’t close with the eggs stacked so, I’m using the mini incubator. I’ll have to hand turn them.
I have the Liege Fighter eggs in there. I know nothing about those chickens so......

So... Liege Fighter chickens are supposed to be in the top 10 $$$ chickens. I might need to put more effort into hatching those. Also, the tallest roosters.

Of course I hope you have a great hatch, but you better put the $$$ in the good incubator.

The temperature in the incubator will go down when the eggs are added. If the incubator is not digital, do not adjust it for at least 24 hours after adding the eggs.

Digital incubators will adjust automatically to the temperature change

I got curious and decided to candle the Liege Fighter eggs. It’s day 4 and 2 of 3 show blood veins in them. The other has nothing in it.
I can’t see anything in the Cream Legbar or Barnevelder as my light isn’t bright enough.
Question: what is the best number of lumens for candling?
