Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

I am working from home which is a challenge. I still have to go to Campus to drop off and pickup equipment that instructors and Staff need to work from home.

My house is now an official shipping address for Aggie Buy(our online purchasing system)! This is for things I buy though not the entire campus.

That means that if a package comes after 4:30, I still have to deal with it on my own time.

Very nice!

How is sheltering in place going?
Not bad. Hubs is working from home full time. There are no after hours for his job, but at least he is saving the hour+ commute time. Older son is still working at an essential business, down to part time now, which he's happy about.
Younger son came home for spring break in mid-March and was told not to come back to campus, so he is still here doing his courses online. Most of his stuff is still in the dorm, including his good computer, and we are unsure how the next semester will be handled so that's about the most stress we have. I sure do feel for people who lost jobs over this from day one. Talk about stress!

Ron, have you heard any talk about what the colleges are planning for the fall? My son is a freshman at Montana State, and we are trying to predict if he will be staying home or need to look for housing in Bozeman for next year. Montana is one of the states with very few covid cases, so I hear hints that they might be one of the states to try opening back up sooner, but I can't imagine them having regular classes so soon. What's the scoop on that for UC?

UC is online through at least both summer sessions. There is talk of online for our Fall Quarter but that has not been set yet.

At a meeting this week the Chair said that many campuses were going to be online in the Fall so Contrary to what we are hearing from Washington, expect a lot of continued grief form covid-19!

I really do not have regular hours either. I have to work anytime I am awake LOL! I am an exempt employee at the University. It makes sense too! If our DHCP server went down over the weekend, during regular times, it would be really bad!

I guess classes for incoming freshmen will be online also. What a sad thing for them... missing prom and high school graduation and then no dorm life for the first year of college.

Although no great loss for people like me. I stayed home and did 2 yrs at the jc to AVOID having to live in the dorms.

I know!

My Youngest DD did not do any of those things either and is currently attending the local JC

My 8yr old Welsummer, who almost didn't make it as a chick, laid an egg 2 days in a row! 🥚🥚 Go Grace! 40A2DD7A-6244-4D68-9E8F-85D8B2B75296.gif

So far this spring she's been laying about once a week. She was a hatchery chick from the feed store and the last Wellie left, put in the not-expected-to-survive brooder with the rest of the chicks who weren't doing well. She was a tiny thing, had an umbilical hernia, and I had to hand feed her drops of sugar water for the first couple of days before she perked up enough to eat on her own. Took about 2 weeks of careful nursing until she started to grow a bit, but she made it and is one of only 3 still alive from my original batch of chicks back in 2012.

It is nice that they are laying well for you this spring!

:celebrate I’m glad you’re getting plenty of eggs in this time of egg/food shortages.
Have you been seeing food shortages? We haven't had that problem here. They will run out of some things on a given day, but there is always plenty of options for things to eat, even if not my first choice. Or I just try another store!
And why the egg shortages anyway? Have you heard an explanation for that? I still see eggs on the shelves, but they go fast. Luckily, we are getting enough from the mob.
Finally starting to see more paper products, but anything antiseptic or antibacterial is very rare, including rubbing alcohol and now bleach.

It is the same way here. Flour was mostly out at walmart yesterday but most things were back up in stock.

It is easier for me to get the big half and half now. There must have been local restaruants that were using it our of their cold box but are not getting it anymore
