Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

awwwwwwwwwwww animallover... 1... my friends who have 6 of my original rescue have not had a single egg yet and they are all 27 1/2 weeks old, they came over last night and when she went into the fridge to get the coffee cream,
she said, "oh look, she has a basket full of eggs in here too

"

I had the four from yesterday and a few others in a basket on the counter, the basket in the fridge is a tiny basket and it has the 4 remaining "first eggs"... I haven't blown them yet... they're 3 weeks old, the dogs and cats will love them if I get around to it...!

I did get 4 more today, Isis came to me 2ce within minutes of being let out and squatted large... but she missed her deadline... and I'm not fooled by the squatting, she still peeps.

I've got long work days all week, and with the days becoming so short... I feel terrible about the time I'm missing at home... it was dark when I left this morning and there was only 45 minutes of daylight left when I got home, but we ranged together and enjoyed what we had...

on Friday I got an email that one of the Express carriers quit, no biggie... he wouldn't work on call, and sometimes didn't show up at all, Today, I got another email. the other Express carrier just quit. Now, it's just me. no more days off til dirt dies or they find another suc... I mean carrier

27 Eggs in Four Days. Three Perfect Days. Eight Hard Working Girls. Pie Coming Right Up

I'm sure. I even checked up and down for a hidden nest. They had an hour or so of free range time today.
Were those Comets laying before you got them? I turned on the light in my coop one morning and a egg rolled off the poop board onto the floor and broke and in a matter of seconds they ate everything shell and all. If I had not been there to see it I would have never known there was even a egg there. But you would probably see a wet spot somewhere if they were eating that many.

I'm fairly certain. They were chicks in Easter. I don't have a poop board, mine lay in a nesting box, or on the floor. I've never had a problem with any of them eating eggs...

Mmmmm..... eggs Benedict. I'm okay with OK having us over for breakfast! We could try French toast too, and I'll bring some banana walnut bread.

Oops, my sweet tooth is protruding again!

FOUR...... Today we laid Four ~ including Isis! we gave 2 brown and one cream and one light greenish blue, it's raining and we stomped around in the untarped part of our run, got nice and muddy and then we walked all over Mother's eggs, they were exceptionally dirty by the time she got home from work!
I rolled up a section of vinyl so they could have some daylight... then it rained all day...I hated to have to wash them, but they were yucky and I wanted pictures...eh, I'm gonna eat em tonight anyway! fried egg sammy on an Udi's GF bagel coming up!
so, ACW, you were right, it's green, but it's a much lighter green than Blu's olive egg, and has a bluish tint.
