yesterday i bought a chick and she has been VERY loud, but when i come in the room she runs over to the side of the cage where im at and chirps.
i want to get her a new freind from the same place but my mom might not want another chicken??

yes there is alot of water! c: she has three little holes that she can drink out of, and she likes to run around in her food and then runs under her heated crab pillow. they said she was a good egg laying chicken, but they didnt tell me the breed.

X2 You can use a stuffed animal until you get the okay from your mom.

Your doing all you can at the moment. Always research, before you purchase. It will make your chick friendly, due to you having to handle to keep quiet.

How can i tell her breed at such a young age? she has two dark stripes from her head to her back and her baby feathers are still in, because she's a week old.

Chickens need to be with a "group". They don't do really great individually. I suggest a pal for your chick. Perhaps a bantam since it will be small... could be easier to convince mom!
