Hey guys, this may seem really silly because I've hatched a fair few chicks!

I have one egg in the incubator. The rest didn't make it and although the egg is only half full from what I can tell, the chick is due tomorrow. I was candle lighting just now as my dad was convinced the chick didn't make it.. And I noticed that there was a small crack in the egg, but it was only the shell that was broken. The layer underneath the shell is still sealed.. The chick did not move when I candle lit it..

Does that mean I help or leave the chick to hatch on it's own?? I recently lost a fully grown chick, for some reason it just didn't hatch and I don't want to lose another.. Advice pleaseeeeee!!

Thank you xxx

To much Hands On before its time can be a bad thing----you taking it out the incubator could be effecting/loosing the Much needed humidity to hatch. I would suggest to leave it in---give it time to hatch on its own----if after a day it does not progress----you might want to get on the Hands On hatching Post by Amy and ask some questions. I am not a Hands On hatcher so I can not help you there. I leave my incubator 100% Closed during the last 3 days and I have real good Luck with almost all hatching. Good Luck
