I really love the branches in the coop for roosting!
Would it be okay to have them in the run area too for hanging out?

yes. It's a good idea to keep outsides roosts low though to encourage chickens to roost inside the coop rather than outside.I really love the branches in the coop for roosting!

yes, of course! i have them ready to be put up, soon!Looks great. May want to think about curtains for those hot summer days to block some sunlight. My only worry is that it may become a sauna in there even with the vents across the eves. Its a bit like a greenhouse and greenhouses got hot even with ventilation.
i love your cat! it looks just like my blanco! so sweet.Very cute.. I love the windows/doors!
Awe, thanks! He’s a Ragdoll... I plan on getting another in the near future! I love himi love your cat! it looks just like my blanco! so sweet.

it doesnt get to hot there, though. the sun is blocked from the trees. thats why the garden i planted there failed. not enough sunlightbut a great place for a coop!woo hoo!
oh, and we will eventually put screens in for those too hot days!!!
It's attractive...those big paned windows are cool looking.brown is my favorite color
great idea! thanks! When you screen it use hardware cloth.
I had a secondary screen door inside a coop several years ago.....yeah it was window screen.
I could open the main door and still keep the chickens inside.......I thought.
The birds pushed the screen out to wander the yard.
Besides keeping birds in hardware cloth keeps bad things out.
1x2 welded cage wire is good too.
i have 4 chickens. the coop is 20 feet and the run is 80 feet. two are bantams. yes, as we complete each area there are already things we will change/add. we will probably put up a second level in the coop because it is really tall. but the goal is just to finish!!!this!!! The light from the windows- good idea- and the ventilation! Very attractive. How many chickens will you have? Keep us updated. I personally still work/play/adjust in my coops and runs lots.
Work in process
