Show me inside and outside of your homemade coops

This doesn't seem so bad. Maybe small just... depending on number of birds.

Everything was wrong, nests above roosts and not enough room for nests and roosts in the same place. I eventually converted it into a roosting only area which works fine. I could have 15 birds roosting in there but nothing else.

@aart is being very nice, but I'll get right to it. I don't believe you. You used a stock photo for the outside of the coop, but just happened to have a picture of the inside that doesn't come anywhere near close to what it should be or will even fit. And don't have any pictures of the outside to show. i ain't buying it.

Edit:

And I found the internet photo of your nest boxes, too.
That's a wonderful thing that image search.;)
Also helpful is the introduction thread; worth a careful read.
That might lead you to some conclusions about another recent controversial post that got closed.

I LOVE your garden area. This is what I am working towards on my property as well. I have the chicken and duck coops and a few raised beds... The longer term plan is to add a fence around ALL the coops and beds and add more beds as you have done. :bow Good work!

Thank you :) It was awesome when I first started and they were young. I have to say that if I knew then what I know now... I would (and still may) sacrifice my garden space and double the run size. I read a few differing opinions about how much space chickens need. I wish I would have paid more attention to the ones that said all the room you can manage. More room, happier chickens. Happier chickens, happier me. And secure it well... chickens destroy EVERYTHING!!!
Please share photos with us when your get started and when you complete your project. I love and learn so much from others and frankly just love how pretty, creative, clever and organized some people can get! Eye candy for sure. :drool

Chicken coop with run below and attached run on opposite side (sorry, don't have pics of the run)

This whole side opens for cleaning, and half of the opposite wall hinges open as well so I can reach to access all corners of the coop to clean and collect eggs etc.

Duck house, front wall hinges open during the day and can be folded up/locked at night.

Side/roof hinges down to allow for egg collection without entering the run, but bottom half stays closed so ducks can't escape.

Very clever and charming! Love the use of your areas/local materials. Love the well built useful function and blend for Colo country. Bravo!

Dreamy perfection, functional beauty! Well done, trendy, space saving. I want to steal the corbels your chickens are playing on lol.
