Some chicks love them and play in them and others just lay around or under them for comfort. Overall I’m thinking it lowers the stress and gives the runt a place to hide

Here is ours before the babies arrived and added the hanging feeders which was awesome!

Gunna try these RentaCoop feeders and will let y’all know her in a week or so. Providing constant clean water for super messy chicks is a challenge.

I raised 3 chicks in here. I used a disposable bed pad on the bottom with some pine shavings on top. I was able to clean it out completely every other day for the first couple weeks, then I had to replace everything every day until they got kicked out of the house at 5 weeks old. Water had to be changed multiple times a day. I used a window screen on the top once they could get out, and put cardboard around the heat plate at night so they'd have a dark place to snooze.
