My Coop
We have 3 ducks and we'r are currently housing them in our shed coop in their own section. Its not very large, just 4'x4'. They have access to a large run and pond if their own (except a few fish in the pond) all day though. I am sure our setup could be improved, but I don't have much of a reference for duck houses. So please share pics of your duck house.

My back door now has wood closing up the center crack between the doors all the way up and my run has hardware cloth over the ceiling, under the tarp and closing up every little gap or hole. I also now have an old potting table in the right back corner where I have all of my feed bins. The bottom outside of the run now also has 24" welded wire fencing around it to keep the dogs from deciding to try to breach the hardware cloth and there is a grate over the bottom of both the main and the side cleanout doors. I no longer have a water bucket in the house, but since the run is secure, I leave the duck house drawbridge door down so the ducks can go out and get water in the run if they want to.

My ducks just have a small, approximately 4’x4’, AFrame made from old pallets. One side opens to become the door/ramp and can be folded shut and locked up in bad weather. The top bit of the triangle is open on both sides all the time as a vent. Looking at the photo you can see where there are hinges on the left side wall, the panel opens so that I can collect eggs from outside the coop/run. Mostly they just lay their eggs in there and sometimes hang out in the shade or shelter from the wind. They get locked in at night during blizzards, but for the most part hang out and sleep outdoors in their secure run (their choice, they can go in their house any time). I expanded the run when I expanded my flock, but not the duck house since they rarely use it. The chickens have a separate coop that better meets their needs.
