I see that some are having issues with mainly young stags starting to feel their oats. I did have a high noon hatch stag put his feet on my hand today, but I provoked it by showing him the back of my hand as I started to get his waterer out to clean it. I know what I did not realizing at that moment. I was definitely able to see the speed that he's got. Lol

All birds that have popped me gave a warning I could hear first although it could proceed actual attack by only a fraction of a second. I have to try hard not recoil when hearing that "wurr-wurr" because if I do they think they have something on me and are willing to try again. The posturing is easy to see but when concentrating gaze on what you are doing the warning is even easier to miss. For me pulling back that first time he lays into you is a real no-no. I do all I can to take it and sometimes freeze to let him repeat message without getting a response. Usually if I do it right bird won't even offer to get me a second time.

Getting hens or chicks riled is a bit more complicated.

+5 for all those chickens.
I'll see how he does either tomorrow if I get home early enough or over the weekend. He hasn't been a problem at all until today. Just filling his feed cup he was pecking me hard right through my gloves. The cup is on the inside of his pen so he was determined to get my hand since he had to stick his head through the wire to make it happen.
I use a feed scoop to fill it without having to reach in the pen

More than half you can hear are not actually games so in all honesty I can accept such a high number.

Yup most people kick em back and wonder why they don't back down. This guy is staying regardless, I'll fix him of at least take a helluva beating trying.

Sometimes it is not just fighting them, sometimes it is running from them as well. We had a bout of that with a display flock at work. Even the hens were sassy. We had to swap out some birds for my games to keep display going without having birds harassing public. I will have to act fast fixing this or they will have donated games as man-fighters too.

My second oldest 2014 Stag is a man fighter (first one in a long long time)... but it actually helps me out because now he is easier to catch. I always have to coax birds back into pens with food...but sometimes it can be a pain in the butt, especially when I have to coerce not just the stag but two additional pullets in as well.

So its a blessing and a curse. He attacked my dog too.
