gotcha, see the fire this morning on canal st? One of the rare times I'll use the term "spectacular"

Here's the pen I was talking about yesterday, found out how to load pictures again since the BYC app quit, don't mind the mess of stuff lying round. And what type of shelter do you suggest I build?

rooster legs , I have 4 pullets 8 months no eggs yet,but laying soon I hope. not sure if I need all 4

Mine has a shade cloth on top that was designed for it held with bungee cords. Does not keep rain out but is simple

Another set of pens has tin which is nice but can get pricey. Or u could use those panels like shubin, guess it depends on how elaborate u want to go

I'm gonna have netting over top so the games can't get out and fight or kill or get killed( I have 5 other roosters, not games but 2 could hold their own one on one with the game and I have 2 that like to team up when fighting, game could take the smallest though). Oh alrighty, thanks for telling me some options, I'll probably either build a simple-ish shelter so they can get in to escape the elements, or put in one of my old rabbit hutches. But I got lots of time to decide

Just curious which 2 roosters do you think could hold the own against the game? I would think something heavier/stronger like a Jersey Giant might stand a chance if he doesn't run.

Also I think a shade cloth or some kind of roof is better than just netting.. Chickens tend to rooster under something, they never sit on the top branches of a tree or on top of a chicken coop, they like sense of overhead protection when roosting.

One is a huge rooster( I think it's a austrlorp/black jersey cross) and the other one is his son who's only a year and a half old and is as big as his dad. They both would stand and fight, especially against a smaller game rooster, not saying my roosters would easily beat a game, the game would probably bring them close to death, but I don't think a game could totally beat them.
