Just a pair. The layers are hers though. So 37 birds total are hers. I've culled a bunch recently, they were old timers. Had a few that were 6 yrs old.

I've seen the throwbacks turn out to be aces several times. If I ever get a spangled Bates you can bet he or she goes in a brood pen.

I don't know what the problem is, I've seen them do this to deformed chicks in the past. I wish I was home to investigate it though.
