I decided to make them a feed tray. At least the idea was good

Lol, nice pic. I have only seen it in gamefowl chicks, but after they are weaned and cold nights come through mine will sometimes come down off the roost and huddle up in a nest box. They seem to be smart birds!

I hatched a few more chicks yesterday. What a nightmare. There is one chick that is a nutcase! Hopping all round in and out of the waterer, picking on the other birds. Somehow they knocked over the waterer and the whole tote was a sopping wet mess at 3 am. Had to dry em off and change the entire rig before work. What fun.

Gotta love it!

bummer... I hate clutches that freak out when you put hand in.. My kids are part to blame because they like holding them... but its really bad when you have a lot chicks... its like school of fish instinct, when one jumps they all start jumping... annoying.

I change the chick's water several times a day.. bedding about once a week, unless something like that happens...

A little frisky lol. The other morning before I pulled those chicks it was about 45° and the chicks were all out having fun. 3-4 days old
