Gotta get out soon. I'm gonna try and plan a few camping/fishing trips this year. Trout and maybe some landlocked salmon. Gotta tie up some flies. gotta make up for not getting out much last year. That don't look all that small!

It's only a 4 or 4.5 lb fish, I'll catch a few over 8 normally

Speaking of chickens any of you guys been fishing lately?? Too cold yet but gonna get out soon. Flypen where's the smallmouth pics? Sdm111 redfish?? Centra sunnies?
no I'm still getting my new to me boat rigged like I want it. With the opening of the spillway and the flooding it'll take a while for the lake's salinity level to go up enough to bring them in. I tried a couple weekends ago and the normally blue water was chocolate brown. It should start clearing up this month. I also want to get back into crabbing too. I have a friend that runs just about a dozen traps and he catches pretty good averages 4-6 dozen a run. Not bad for personal use. And when the water warms which should be starting now we push scoop nets through the seaweed beds in the lake for soft shell crab now that's good eating

5 out of 5 now she's on 12 redquill

The buttermilk above I call a wheaton based gray. Another wheaten based gray that is more "yellowish" has brown-red in it as well.

Second / dark side is grey over standard wildtype.
