Well just for the record my hobbies/things I like to do are:
Raising chickens
Tying flies
Duck hunting
Flyfishing
Predator hunting (for fur)
Trapping (for fur)

yeah I know. I would have no problem hunting (for food and fur) if it was a nessecity for survival and if humanity wasnt overpopulating the planet while commiting genocide on the worlds animal populations.

I hold myself to a higher moral standard than most. I even save spiders from the shower because I am aware that I would be responsible for its death and would feel guilty for not trying to save it. The quote on my footer pretty much sums up how I feel.

But I know my own faults as a meat eating human. I am aware that I also contribute the death and confinment of hundreds of farm animals each year. I will probably become vegetarian at some point or raise my own animals for food.

I understand nature can be cruel and that all animals die. In my opinion wild animals should be off limits from human explotation, they have a hard enough time surviving in whats left of their ever-shrinking habitat. I believe its our role as the dominant species to protect whats left and to be consciously aware that we need to live in accordance with nature, not against it.

Thats my rant for the day.

I do believe you might be misinterpreting Kant.
We can agree to disagree that's fine. However hypocrisy is rampant with feeling quilty for not saving a spider but still eating meat even though you believe your contributing to harsh and cruel treatment of farm animals. Can't pick and choose what's convenient and still hold yourself on a higher pedestal of moral standards.
You could start your quest by knocking down your house and planting native foliage. Build yourself a yurt and you'll be set. Let me know how that's works for ya.

You do realize you are posting on american game fowl board. A board dedicated to animals we took from the wild and bread to be the best killers they could be for our entertainment. Just saying nothing personal.
The human race is a virus on this and all eco systems. If you truly care about animals and our planet dont have kids.
