They would take that little Sharp-shinned hawk on in a heartbeat. Mine do even when a lot smaller than what you have there.

yeah they all formed a committee and challenged the hawk... But none flew up to meet him.

Mine will not fly up after hawk either. They will attack if it comes down to the ground. Once the games roll into attack mode then they will pursue it up a little but most chases are brief and at ground level. Stags and hawks fluff and ticked off broody hens as they go after hawk. They are not acting like it is a fight for dominance at all.

Nobody wants to buy my stags this year... usually I get tons of calls and have to remove ad, but this year (or this time of year) I think the market is flooded with stags. And I got one text, and then no response.

I might have to feral some of these around town... Shh dont tell anyone

Ok guys i crossed the hens from up too with a Radio dock. Mommas are white legged except the mostly white hen that is green legged. All the daughters came out with yellow legs but with three variations of coats. Yellow neck feathers with dark brown body feathers. Red neck feathers with light brown body feathers. And lighter colored ones. I have no idea what they would be named tho

Nice chickens,Tex ,I see youhave yours in a big pen ,How does that work for you? I cannot free range yet also till i build a big flight pen ,to many hawks and owlsfor me to deal with .
