What is this one? She looks interesting. I would guess she is genetically splash, so breed her to black and they should all come out blue.

He isn't short at all. If I thought he was subpar I sure wouldn't sell or give him away anyway. I would cull him.

Hen also appears to be what I think is pattern gene.

Pullets below have similar pattern in wing secondaries. Mine would be similar if expressing splash as well.

Hen I use for work.

One of pullets I recently posted with tail coming in now. They going to be cool looking for sure. Splitting them up and penning with habituated stags really calmed them down.

Nice! That hen also has the pattern shown in pullets above.


How do you avoid getting into trouble with wife when birds get close to house like that? My wife threatens me with duct tape every time birds cross creek.

Centra, that is an interesting pattern. I sometimes see it in the young birds but they molt out of that coloration.
