A lil tippy! Yeah u could say that. All that sticks out the water is the top rail, any roll and its over. Can't even sit in one. When I was a teen we hunted alligator at night with two people in one

Or should I say don't want to sit in one
Yeah I have a couple kayaks but the solo canoes are better for all around hunting and fishing. More room for gear and decoys + the empty space in front of me so the fly line won't get tangled on anything. I have two canoes one weighs 38 lbs the other is around 50lbs. The kayaks are 35 lbs.
I always wanted an aquapod but still haven't gotten one. $$$

This is a real pirogue there's a lot of pics on the net that don't look like one but says it is. As can be seen the gunnels aren't too high. It's designed to be pushpoled while standing in skinny water

And pirogues that are made out of cypress which is the traditional way are kept sunk when not in use cause it prevents decay and keeping the wood wet keeps it sealed by being swelled. Ok if it dries out and u put it in the water it would leak real bad cause the wood shrunk

Yep I'll stick to canoes. I'd dump that for sure. I do too much winter hunting. I'd end up a popsicle.
Carstens duck boats are pretty nice too. I was talking to a guy at the ramp the other day who had one. Had let me stand in it on the water. Very stable, 70 lbs though. It's called a puddler. Tough to haul through the woods like I do though.
I like polyethylene boats. They can fall out of a moving truck at highway speeds and still float like a champ.

I grew up fishing out of one, I spent many hours in a pirogue. I'm a lot older and heavier now but I bet I can still fish out of one. The good old days! I'll be glad when the time changes. I get home from work, immediately I start feeding and checking waterers. Most of the time it's past dark by the time I finish. Not much time to get new pictures.

Chicks below I almost lost tonight. Pretty good sized storm that has sit on us for hours blew covers about causing water from barn roof to be funneled onto chicks. Wind also nearly ripped front door off house. Still getting ground strikes and they took out fence charger. It is kind of like Spielberg's version of "War of the Worlds".

Sleep not coming easy tonight.
