i dubbed that stag on Saturday night. Very little blood. However it was cold and I took him off his roost at night. So if the almanac says sat was a good day then I would agree. Otherwise I don't have enough experience dubbing birds to say either way.

Well, even tho we tend to follow the almanac, I don't know how reliable it really is. I checked & my calendar showed the blood was in the head Saturday (was in feet Friday) so either one can't go by the calendar or the cold helped. I've always been apprehensive when my boyfriend dubs when its very cold or very hot, but he has pretty good luck either way.

OK I posted this in welsummers thread an didn't get a reply. I want to cross welsummers an american games. Has anyone done this an how did they turn out? Mature size? Egg color? Production? My welsummers are hatchery birds an my american games are mostly hatch.

there are so many other breeds why mix the games? Just curious?
