Onto another subject a question about game strains.

As it was previous stated the concept of keeping strains "pure" is a bit redundant, but what about the strains that becamd their own breed? What Im refering to is the Blue Hen of Delaware, a game strain developed pre-revolutionary war by american soldiers that been kept pure-ish over the years? And for years been near impossible to find outside of their home state.

Sweater pair. R these birds on the lighter side for weight
400

I don't want my broodfowl heavy, low to high 4s is perfect for me. Then when I make a cross normally the 2 yr olds will average low to mid 5s

I questioned the quality when I was there. But I can argue for free. I think it's been mixed with something the legs on the male are not all yellow has like black in the legs

Shubin you should cross some of these to your birds. It'll toughen em up
Dong Tao Chicken
Rare, expensive meat bird from Vietnam, they can not be kept in confinement in large numbers as they fight... if I remember correctly they started out as a Game Fowl that was found to be tasty, this is an excellent example of extreme breeding, their size makes successfully incubating and raising chicks hard as well, and like many Asian Games they do lay less than production egg or meat birds from the West. (Read up on them several years ago as they where so freaky looking).

They appeal to my Mad Scientist leanings... lol.
