Be advised with the ornamental pheasants fertility drops drastically with inbreeding and some you're only talking a clutch or two a year to start with
 
If u can get them feathered out maybe like they tragopans. Then the coppers lay an egg and turn around and peck a hole to kill it. It is thought because they are captive so u got to babysit and the cock will up and kill the hen. Too much drama

I know there not gamefowl but figured I would share some of the pheasants I have on the farm. Pheasants eat less r more disease resistant, don't loose toes in freezing temps then any other type of bird. The reeves is extremely aggressive. I got about 600 eggs from the pheasants last year on excel spreadsheet and over 75 percent hatched. I just hope the gamefowl can be as tuff as the pheasants when it comes to subzero temps of michigan. Have a good day everyone.
 
beautiful birds! I love to look at pheasants but I'm not sure if I could ever get in to keeping them on top all the others animals I live in Michigan as well and have never had to supply my chickens with additional heat and of course always a pleasure to meet fellow michiganders:)
