they are relatively calm. They approach me when I come in there pen in a curious way and they don't get all weird and flappy until another bird gets weird or the dogs say hi// the one with less visible pattern and yellow in the feet keeps putting my young sexlink rooster in his place.

Notice where hen with brood is roosting. They went on field trip for a couple hours then I released them to forage in yard to see if they might work their way back to barn. They did some powerful bug hunting in area centered on truck. Doors where left open for airing out. Pen was on top of bed hard cover and a couple chicks tried to get back to it. Hen preferred interior so that is where they went.

Kids are messing with everything. Currently they are into catching toads and feeding them beettles. Discussion of toads orbits what sex they are. This one is a male so everyone predicts he is going to get girls.
