Thanks for the feedback, guys... l made a fatal mistake... usually they have full wire all around so they can see all around them, but I had to move this guy and all I had was an empty layer breeding coop... enclosed, clear panel in roof... looks like he hit the support beam of the panel and broke his neck... I believe I am going to look into making some drop pens for times like that now...

The clear panel may have been the issue. Is his neck actually broken?
 
I don't actually think so... his feet were tucked under him like he came straight down abruptly and neck was cork.screwed completely around, twice...
I could force head around twice, but do not think a chicken could do it by colliding with something.

I do not recall ever having a chicken with a broken bone unless predator involved or I actually stepped on it.
