Gotta get my stuff setup and a shooting lane here soon as well as practice with a bow again. Tis the season.

I'm not knocking hunting with a gun but bowhunting is so much more exciting. To me at least. I'd have killed quite a few more decent bucks if I would have had a gun. It ain't about killing though for me. I just like to hunt. I've done some stupid stuff along the way like dropped my release 2 minutes before a nice 8 pt walked by. Was gonna shoot with my fingers but decided not to. Never saw him again. Lol

Im in it for the hunt, meat and peace and quiet. Nothing im hunting this season is over 75yds anyway but still love my guns.

I think my distaste comes from all the drive hunters here. Guys walk through the woods and have standers shoot the deer as they run out of an area. I think it should be illegal. Very little sporting chance in any of that.

Everybody has their own set of rules though and that's fine by me. Some pay big bucks to hunt out of a elevated plastic tub. 364 days out of the year nobody is in the d*mn thing while feeders run continuously then one day there's a paying hunter plopped down with a gun. Differemt strokes I guess.

Thank You SDM, I thoroughly enjoy this part of BYC, each one of your posts is so appreciated. Knowing You and Flypen best(I thank personally both of you for kindness expressed) on this group, i can honestly say there are good and honest people out there and this whole group reflects that.

We have not had rain in south Alabama in few days, it had been raining every day. I've tried to raise a few this yr but had many problems besides just being able to drag myself down there feed & water and drag myself back to the house, I've had coon, possum, and electric fence problems. Killed 6 possums and hope I killed a coon or more w/indigestion.
I have all my material to build pens but can't find help, all the good ones get a regular job pretty quick and the others that show up work good for one day and it's downhill from there. (am i paying enough at $!0 up to $15 an hour even more on good jobs?)

I keep trying ... I lost 2 or 3 in last few days that flew over into dog yard(crazy suicide fly-over) (first time in 25 yrs that the dog yard has been there) some of the few this yrs Mclean hatch.
I had wanted to share some with few good friends but I don't know if there will be enough for me.

If I lived closer, I would work real cheap just to hear all the knowledge you must have!

I do bait no lying bout that but that doesnt mean im guaranteed a shooter. Ive never road hunted.

Nor paid to go on a hunt.

It's really just the drive hunters that bug me. Got 10 guys together, 7 walking whooping and hollering so the deer go running, 3 standing waiting to shoot. They all just switch off on each drive so they each get a shot to shoot. I don't even go in the woods during regular gun season. That's when the pumpkin suits are out lol

Ive never seen that to be honest but that does sound stupid to me in everyway! But i have found stands either on or pointed toward my land so in my book thats cheating so i take em down and keep em, i either pay to lease said land or barter work for it so in my book its wrong to be on my "land".
