some of mine are almost done, some just starting some no tails etc.. I'm gonna have to rake up feathers tomorrow. It's driving me nuts.

UPS man came in yesterday. Asked if we had a fox attack. I said "no." then asked himwhy. He commented on the amount of feathers on the ground.

We only have Locust trees around the house. Those leaves shrivel up and disappear. I rake feathers in the fall instead of leaves.

Thanks Flypen. I have been tempted by those many times. Even though I just raise them for my own enjoyment, I still want the real deal. The selection and breeding part of it is what interests me most. I have time.

I had to chuckle yesterday while watching the birds. I have some young stags about 8-9 weeks old. One kept dropping his wing and walking around a cock bird. The cock bird keep looking at the little stag like do I teach him a lesson or let it go. I penned up the little stag before he got in trouble.
