thats just right ... we get some in late spring after rains. I know beacause chickens get a little fowl pox. I rarely get bit (if ever).

Supposedly Zika mosquitoes made there way into So Cal... but mostly by the coast where its wetter.

You get caught outside here after dark with no repellent, shame on you. It gets bad here in the summer time, any standing water will thousands of them.

Mosquitos can be bad here. Usually mid summer on the most humid days. I have a routine where I usually lift weights/workout right before I go feed the chickens. My body temp is up high and sweating. I get destroyed while my wife standing next to me has no issues. God I hate mosquitoes. I hate chiggers even more though. Can’t walk two feet into the woods here in summer without picking up a few ticks and plenty of chiggers.

Had to end a quick hunt not too long ago with my son. He stopped on the trail and saw him scratching his ankles. Sure enough he had a bunch of chiggers on him.
I’ve left a pair of pants in the woods one day. So many chiggers my legs were moving. Drove home in my drawers and bare feet.

Chiggers are a pain and itch u can't scratch but opening the wounds and covering in clear finger nail polish works decent on em.

After a quick google search of chiggers for giggles. I have no idea how anyone gets bit up that bad. I get one on me and I feel it right away.
