Honestly I think nutrena has the best chick starter I'll say that

I use the MannaPro medicated chick starter... bit expensive but i really like it. I havent tried the Nutrena yet.

Yeah that's the second best thing I've used only thing I don't like is I can't buy it here in 50 lb bags and I would go through a little bag in a day

Y'all like pearl or yellow legged kelso?

I'm leaning toward yellow bout to make the trip to go get one but figured I'd ask here if any read before hand. I read the YL are better cutters and power while PL are faster and shuffle more. But I reckon leg color is a moot point compared to ability.

Got the WL he just felt better and guy really didn't wanna sell this one wasn't even an option till I asked.

Guy had a pet coon as well ha but to beat the band he had a stag an hen together and hen was dead said that's the third one I'd wait along while had I been him to pen him with another after the first. Meh not my birds but all looked well cared for.

That concludes this years fowl for me unless I find another spangled Gerrard pullet or hen.

I like white leg, straight-comb Kelso's, we had a cock (WL & SC) in 70's 80's that had a bad eye from fight as stag (all his brothers were PC & WL/YL) this lil cock we called badeye won 6 fights on major circuit, his 5th fight was with the Paytons who also had a 4-T-W ....... long story short "This cock was PrePotent" .... bred to Harold Brown Hatch, all stags and pullets looked just like him, every rooster out of him that year won 4-6 shows . I only got 2 out of him and his daughters the next yr and lost him
