Well ended up with just 3 total kinda bummer better 3 than none I guess 5 eggs wasn't fertile 2 died during early stages of development and one died while trying to hatch out

Well hopefully you get some good ones outta that fellas strain and yep some is better than none. Keep us posted and with pictures on their progress.

Took me forever to find the birds I wanted and if my wife added up the cost even for gifted birds with gas she'd no longer call them just chickens.

Sometimes it is better not to share the details with the Mrs. lol I would hate to think what chickens have cost me over the years, but I sure enjoy raising them.

Fella that got my butchers had yotes kill all but one he kept at his house the others where at a friends. But I still have one that I gave my mothern law, well she has it lol runs around with barred rocks and one sfh she wanted before i sold em all and he's doing good.

I can't say I have had better luck incubating myself. Under hen is where it's at. I have noticed that the first year pullets lay, they aren't very good at hatching, by the second year Im getting bigger clutches.

Still gotta divide this 12x12 kennel for my Warhorse. It's a muddy mess up here.

He looks good. long back and wings. holds himself well.

I wouldn't consider him having a long back more medium length.

And thanks he's doing pretty well with them girls too.
