Heading out of Louisiana this morning. Had a great week with sdm111. Did some fishing, hunting and exploring around. Ate too much good food.
Plenty of pig sign but couldn’t get on em with the longbow. Had one sow within 20 yds but was too thick to get an arrow through.

Sdm111 worked hard for me to get a pig with the bow, slogging through the mud looking for fresh sign. Just couldn’t get on em. They don’t quit moving. The day we went out fishing the wind picked up and made it hard to use a fly rod. We saw some redfish chasing some baifish pretty close which was a first for me. Temps went from 85 to 40 by the end of the week. Sdm111’s wife cooked some great food and couldn’t have been more comfortable the entire time there.

Fresh pig sign all over though.

Be safe bud going home. My father inlaw went on a hunting trip to Illinois for a week and didn't get a thing, it happens.
yep that’s the way it goes sometimes. Carrying a longbow instead of a gun don’t make it any easier. That sow would have been bacon. Lol. Nice to get out and see a different landscape. Much different than home.
