There's always going to be the ones that want to keep the games as "original" as they can and those that aren't into them that much and just looking for something to look pretty. The problem lies in not being able to tell physically which is which. And people shouldn't push game chickens as game if they just sitting there looking pretty. They just may be but they also may not and "game" is a subjective term ones definition may not be the same as another

If he has dogs or cats I'd be a bad day for them if they came into my yard. I do know that's not your way though. Chickens did trespass

Doesn't look like he is... it's illegal to intentionally maim/wound a trespassing animal like that... killing if it is a danger or threat is legal depending on state laws, but not intentional wounding...
