Why take an iconic proud bird like a gamehen or cock and water it down to make a puny little bantam? It’s hard enough to keep them game without everyone accelerating the process. There’s tons of smart pretty birds out there to choose from.

Best bet is to stick with breeding game fowl to game fowl.

I really just want the plumage from this particular game hen. My breeding project is still on the drawing boards so nothing is set in stone.

The spangled also shows up in Swedish Flower Chickens. They may even have a bantam version.
