Yep I gots trees... lots of them.. Cottonwoods, Pines, Willows, Oaks
Supposedly a 500+ year old oak tree..

Coyotes were crazy last night... I swear they were inside the property... I went out around 1am and chased them off with my boy dog.

You can hear animals walking through the creek. I was on edge all night.

Better warm up your rock throwing arm.

Thats where they staying all the time... Once I get an aviary built I will be able to rotate into that big area for exercise/foraging etc.

I will let all the new hatch-lings of 2018 free range the property like I always have.

And you don't have minks wipe you out in a day... or are they bulletproof?

I dont think we have minks, or any weird vermin like that... I just have to worry about coyotes and maybe racoons (and of course my own female dogs, which arent staying wtih me anymore).

I have never had a racoon or possum kill a chicken but I know we have them. My dog(s) keep them away.

All this changing at new place though. Its a lot more wild.

Wow, I'll take your old place. Off the top of my head, we have bears, minks, weasels, coons, skunks, coyotes, foxes, bobcats, owls, and hawks here, and they're all hungry. Dogs have been a big issue as well thanks to neighbours a few miles away that didn't bother penning their dogs. One of their huskies tore up my run pretty good; I thought it was a bear when I first saw the damage.

I have a dog I send outside at nights and that has definitely saved the flock more than once.

Don’t have the same numbers of mink like you do up there. There’s still plenty just not as many.

I knew you had fewer down in that area, but I thought there were still enough to warrant hardware cloth pens.
