Every single rattlesnake in North America is more toxic than a copperhead or a cottonmouth.Which species? Consider what tex has. I have two species.
Technically, my location does not support all species native to state of Missouri. This pattern is why you are no longer taken seriously. A grumpy joke.Technically you have 5 venomous snakes and 3 rattlesnakes. Timber, Pygmy and massasauga.
Not all bites are equal even from a given snake. They can very dosage, at least as adults. Adult tend to hold back on volume delivered. You can also have only one fang get you or a fang goes all the way into mouth where the venom causes less not no trouble. My dogs last bite was a light one causing minimal trouble. Neighbor with beagle bit by Timber Rattler had a tougher road to recovery. Thanks centra! I'll inform him here shortly
I don’t know what the percentage is but most snake bites are dry. Once you again you give stupid advice. If that dog was bitten full on by a western diamondback it could kill him easily. Your experience from the text book and your yard doesn’t amount too much. I have plenty of family in TX and OK. We have timber rattlesnakes here and I made a stupid mistake years ago and stepped where I couldn’t see over a log while fishing and came real damn close to a full grown black phase timber rattler. I’ve been around snakes a lot. Your experience with one copperhead doesn’t make you an expert. Hell you can’t even properly care for a few chickens or catch a possum. I hate to break it to you but your the joke around here. Your pens look like sh*t and so do your birds. Most likely from your laziness. Spend less time telling others how and what to do and try getting your hands dirty a little more. I bet you’ll like the outcome.Technically, my location does not support all species native to state of Missouri. This pattern is why you are no longer taken seriously. A grumpy joke.
Nope, all I know is the dog is still alive, got hit around the snout, and has trouble breathing from all the swelling.@Texicano you have about 10 different rattlesnakes. That’s about 8 more venomous snakes than I have here. Thankfully
Do you know what kind of rattlesnake it was?
Well sh*t man at least he suggested something! I wasn't asking for a guaranteed cure, just something to help the dog out. Personally I've had a couple dogs get hit by rattlesnakes, some have died, but the majority pull through as the rattlers aren't too fatal around my end of the woods. I told him to put her down if she doesn't get any better. He doesn't have the money to take her to the vet and that's understandable. He just wanted something, anything really, and centra delivered with exactly that while you came empty handed calling him an idiot.Yeah Benadryl like centra said will work wonders what an idiot
