Wouldn’t let them fight like that, lol.
Gamefowl are a lot more aggressive. It only takes a fraction of a second for a bird to lose an eye. I had a rooster slip out when I was messing with a pen. He made a beeline for a loose rooster 75 yds away. In an instant the loose bird was missing an eye.

Took Jshubin advise, took all of yours but tried his method. They fought.Centrachid hope you were talking about don’t do the pen thing,or were you talking about the fighting situation overall?Anywho, they did fight,of course. But,good thing is nobody was injured badly(I monitored all integrations carefully),some fetahers gone and that was about it.He wasn’t hard to catch as he was tired.I tried holding myself together but Zeus (New Hampshire man of the coop),and Tyson wouldn’t stop, although they were on the verge I didn’t feel good about it.Bubba (Cochin bantam)gave his spot up.I originally tried this because I wanted to be able to let them free range together and wanted to see if I had a true game or not.I originally had my other boys Seperate that away everyone has their own runs to save from havoc, will just make Seperate free ranging times.Anyhwo will still be asking questions as I am curious about the breed and would like to learn more. They can’t dight through the pen so they shouldn’t be able to injure each other.I am still building the cage making it a bit more secretive that away they can just avoid each other altogether. Also he will be on ground and hay twenty four seven,I’m assuming you guys thought he was was on a wire floor cage?

Cool.. sounds like a tough bugger.

Maybe looks like he used to be on wire floor from the way his toes look.. they get weird and turn sideways and bottom gets roughed up... and toenails grow long.

he'll want a perch as well. Hay is great.

Didn’t read that till now because I didn’t get the notification, won’t risk it anymore.

I have a couple one-eyed roosters... some from a single unlucky hit, and others from long beating. from unsupervised/accidental fights

Oh,I was supervising and practically Inbewteen them, urkes my nerves because I do worry, but unfortunately this is how animals figure out an order and a leader.
