Brassback is an interesting dark bird with yellow legs.
Yeah they are, you know anybody that raises them?

Do any of y'all know anybody with legit brassybacks?
I read that coloration is caused by a certain allele that pops up in a certain line, I forget which one it is.

I am not sure Brassybacks are crow wing. They are dark, but the ones I have seen have some color showing in the primary feathers. Somebody correct me if I am wrong.
 
Im not sure what "crow wing" is exactly.
It is a color classification. The red bird in your avatar is NOT a "crow wing" as there is brown/red showing in the primary wing feathers. Greys are some of the most striking duckwings, to me, as they have white in the primaries. Crow wings have all black primaries ex. Brown Reds.

lol, you corrected me the last time I screwed up the explanation! Black is Crow!
