That is smart. The two in mine do not like roosting inside closed part because of heat. In winter they go in just fine. During the latter part of each day the two are released to free-range yard with kids. Pullet goes back but cock must be pulled from a Bradford Pear tree every night. Bradford Pear trees are a pain by just about every measure. Thorns, thick, break in wind, and invasive. The fruit are about a bad as green persimmons.
