By the way I know a fair amount about mayflies and lifecycles, nymphs etc.. Just mainly from a fishing interest. However I do find particularly mayflies fascinating. Seems like since you do all that for a living you would at least have a passing interest in tying flies. Since after all the nymphs, pupae and duns are what your imitating anyway.
I imitate the insects in terms of nutrient content. Instead of feathers for looks, I use soybeans and corn for flavor. Also fish trained to eat things they not normally into. Lots of training. I fish but is gets to be like work and more often than not for work.
